BRITISH GT - Round 4 - Rockingham

18th July 2010

A KTM X-Bow won both races in G4 class at Rockingham today but alas, it was not the Prestige-car-leasing car.

Due to ongoing discussions with the organisers (SRO), the ABG run X-Bow did not appear but there was a surprise last minute entry for a car belonging to a Greek customer and run by the excellent Chad Racing Team. The owner was teamed up with Michael Mallock - another quick offspring from the Mallock racing dynasty.

The Lotus 211 was back on song and was streaking away in Race 1 but following the pit stop and driver change, Michael pulled back the deficit to win the G4 class comfortably. The surprise result was the normal front running Speedworks car which only managed P4.

The result was identical in Race 2.

This was a toe in the water excerise for Chad and this result means that they will be at all the remaining rounds of BGT so it would be great if we could see more X-Bows on the grid for the rest of the season as today's result means that Benjamin & Rory are still in with a strong fighting chance of the title.

Next round is at Silverstone in a months time.
